My Everyday Makeup Products

FullSizeRender

Hello lovelies,

Today I have for you some information on makeup that is included in my daily look, I hope you enjoy and find this useful yourself.

Now as a slight disclaimer, I don’t actually wear makeup everyday, but whenever I need to dress up my face a bit, these are my go to’s.

  1. Revlon Concealer: It is in the shade medium and I LOVE IT. It can be easily found in any drugstore and it is amazing. However, let me tell you one thing, I don’t know how it works as a concealer because I don’t use it as one. I use it as an eyeshadow primer and it is fabulous, it keep my eyeshadow on for longer than five hours and creates a gorgeous luminous glow.
  2. Instant Age Rewind Concealer: Love, especially once I figured out how to properly apply this. When you put it on under your eyes make sure to put it in a triangular shape under your eyes and out towards your cheekbones. This concealer does really give you a lifted look and does an excellent job concealing and highlighting.
  3. Naked Skin: As I have said before there are certain makeup items I will splurge on and this foundation is one of them. Now (knock on wood) my skin doesn’t have any MAJOR blemishes to cover up and this foundation is supposedly light coverage. However, I am always still amazed at what a greater job just one layer does of blurring out any imperfections and leaving my face with a gorgeous matte look.
  4. Dusty Rose Smashbox: Now this was a lipgloss I won from an Irene Sarah giveaway and it is gorgeous, in fact, it is beyond gorgeous it is flat out beautiful. It is a natural color which gives your lips a “sweet color”. The linked one would be a similar shade.
  5. NAKED 2 palette: This palette has gorgeous neutral shades, which may be neutral but aren’t boring. Perfect for work or a night out.
  6. Maybelline Mascara: Now I use this mascara and it’s quite good. However, I am on a lookout to change it. I want a mascara that doesn’t clump and is less “work.”

Hope this helps and if any of you have any mascara suggestions, do let me know 🙂 and don’t forget to follow me on twitter @ClassConfidens

Weekly Favorites: 2.27.16

Hello lovelies,

Another Friday means another Friday favorites! This week’s list is quite a mixture of music, products and wants. So I hope you enjoy and perhaps find something you like!

  1. Golden/Pearl Jewelry set: How.damn.gorgeous.are.these. Now usually when I have Indian jewelry, I either have no idea where it came from or it has been gifted to me by someone. Another problem with my Indian jewelry is a lot of the pieces are missing/broken or my jewellery is simply too old fashioned. The reason I love this set is because it will go with virtually every outfit, plus the royal design makes it a timeless piece.
  2. EcoTools brushes: I have heard a ton of people raving endlessly about these brushes, on blogs, on reviews and even on videos! I love brushes because they are meant to be eco friendly and come in a variety of packages. I want this particular one because it had a brush from every “aspect if makeup”.
  3. Becca Highlighter: Out of all and I mean all of the fashion trends that have come through, hands down, my absolute favorite is highlighter. There is something absolutely gorgeous and sultry about a little bit of highlighter on the cheeks. The one I have seen people obsessing over the most is this Becca Pressed Shimmering Powder.
  4. NARS Foundation: Zoella, Irene, Kaushal you name the youtube-r and chances are this foundation has likely showed up in their tutorials. I totally see why! This offers a full coverage with just one layer on and seems like an absolute miracle workers for setting the rest of one’s makeup. However, due to the price this is something I will likely put at the bottom of my list for now.
  5. Work: Work, work, work, work, work, work. This song has been on the top of my jam and man is it catchy. Definietly a song that makes you feel like you can slay anything.
  6.  Ya Baba: The only other song I have been alternating with Work, is Ya Baba by Zack Knight. This song just makes me want to walk through the desert all model like.
  7. Zoella Funfetti Cakes: Now this is a slightly old one, but I love Zoella’s baking videos. They are oddly satisfying, informative and makes me set some serious kitchen goals for myself.
  8. Kaushal Kendall Jenner look: How damn gorgeous?
  9. PaperMate Flair Markers: As a slight stationary hoarder, I have to tell you about these mini markers, which are perfect for taking notes, annotating, writing cards, etc.
  10. Vines: I’m getting a new found appreciation for some epic Viners like King Bach, DeStorm, Anwar, Inanna Sarkis, etc. They are hysterically funny beyond words.

This was a lengthy post but hope you enjoyed! Don’t forget to stay updated by following me on Twitter at @classconfidens

Macadamia Oil Conditioner

FullSizeRender

Hello lovelies,

Today I will be talking to you about this here conditioner. Now I have not been using it for an awfully long amount of time, but in the time I have been using it I can tell you a couple of things.

First off, it smells fantastic, the conditioner has like a soft nutty smell to it, there is a bit of coconut scent if I may say so myself. Second, it actually softens your hair, I kid you not people after two uses my hair felt twice as soft than it was before. Last, it is super easy to apply though it is a bit of an effort to get it off. The product itself is a really creamy formula and rubs easily onto your hands then hair. However, because the product is a bit creamy and oily it takes a bit longer to get off. Which can get rather irritating when you’re attempting to take a quick “hair washing shower”.

Makeup Brushes:Kirkland

Hello lovelies,

So today I am going to be talking to you about the makeup brushes I use, how effective they are and what brushes I find the most important.

The brushes I have been using for the longest time are these Kirkland Makeup brushes, they came in a huge box, there were two full sized sets and two travel sized sets.

These brushes feel as if though you are swiping a baby’s butt across your face, or a feather or a chinchilla. My point? They are beyond soft and cause no irritation to my sensitive skin. Another useful and great thing is they pick up product very easily and the handles are made in such a way that the brushes are easy to hold.

I also love the minor sparkles that the brushes have on the top of them, you can see in the first picture the “diamond” encrusted flowers.

Now I have never purchased individual brushes from Sephora but I am pretty sure it is safe to say that these are probably just as good if not better.

The brushes I absolutely have to have on hand are the flat foundation one, mine does such an.amazing.job at distributing my liquid foundation all over my face. The blending brush which actually softens out my makeup and the flat eyeliner brush, in this case I find it does a really good job of functioning as an eyeliner smudger or eyebrow dip brush. The eyeshadow brush in this set is amazing at picking up product though I prefer the flat eyeshadow brush out of the three eyelid brushes given.

Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner

FullSizeRender.jpg

Hello lovelies,

So today as you can tell I am going to give you my little blurb on the Maybelline liquid eyeliner.

This is the holy grail sent from above from the eyeliner gods. I adore this eyeliner and it is probably forever going to be a staple in my makeup.

The tip makes it so easy to use and is perfect for creating that cat eye flick. The color comes out super dark and for any of my dark eye beauties it makes your eyes really pop. Another benefit is I have had this eyeliner for about a year now used it numerous times and is still going strong. Plus this eyeliner is perfect for creating both casual daytime looks and party nighttime looks.

Honestly, if you’re looking for an excellent liquid eyeliner look not further. This is the one.

Instant Age Rewind Concealer Maybelline

unnamed

Hello lovelies,

Now the one thing I love about having bloggers to watch is note down any products I see repeatedly, try them out for myself and see if they work. This concealer is one of those products.

There are many pros to this product, it is creamy and spreads out so.freaking.easily. I only use this for my under eye and I find it makes my eyes look brighter and gives me a more “awake” look in general, always a plus when you’re going to a party which is bound to last till late night.

The application of this is also really convenient because it has a giant sponge which you just roll onto the area you wish to conceal.

All in all this is a very high maybe investment for next time, because as good as this concealer is I do feel as if it can be “heavy” at times, plus it is slightly pricey at $12.

Stila Liquid Lipstick: Deep Red

IMG_1534

Hello lovelies,

Today I want to share with you my thoughts on Stila’s Deep Red liquid lipstick (that I am wearing in the picture above). 20/10, this lipstick is amazing in so many different ways.

It lasts forever people through drinking, eating, napkin wiping, talking…you name it. This lipstick literally does not come off until you want it to.

The color is absolutely gorgeous as well, it’s the “perfect red”. Not too dark and not too bright, it’s basically dark red with the slightest tinge of light red.

Money line? Sulfate, pthalate and paraben free.

Now it is quite pricey with each lipstick retailing at $24, but if you’re looking for a quality lipstick then the splurge is quite worth it.

Olay Active Botancials Review

17106986

Hello lovelies,

Welcome to the first product review of 2016. I have a review for you all on the Olay Active botanicals gel cleanser.  I received this as a sample in the Homecoming Influenster box, however, all opinions are my own.

That being said I was a little weary about receiving this because I NEVER buy Olay products for myself, however I will definitely re-purchase this cleanser.  Now I “double use” this as a cleanser and makeup remover and it works wonders. One little squeeze of this product takes every ounce of makeup off my face and manages to go even deeper down to clean out my pores. One of the best things? It does not try out my skin. It comes out as a clear gel and works into a rich creamy lather as you rub it on. It also has a light, natural, tropical “foresty” scent to it.

If you are looking for a cleanser or a makeup remover I would definitely look into buying this one by Olay!

Organix Keratin Oil Shampoo Review

Hello lovelies,

First off, I hope all of you had a wonderful, fulfilling and relaxing Thanksgiving. I know for me Thanksgiving break felt way too short!

Today, I have for you a review on Organix shampoo, which is the daily shampoo I use to wash my hair and keep it healthy.

I have been using this shampoo for the past three years consistently and I can honestly say it has made a big difference. (Knock on wood) I feel as if though my hair is stronger and can withhold more. Next, my hair definitely feels thicker and more voluminous. Plus it has light floral and sweet smell.

If you are looking for a shampoo to rejuvenate your hair in multiple areas, I would definitely recommend this one. It can be found at any drugstore and is super affordable.

Winter Skin Care

Hello lovelies,

It is official, here in Maryland, the cold weather has arrived unpacked its bags and is here to stay. I know the weather is turning cold for sure when the heater starts to run basically 24/7 in my house, I freeze with no jacket on and my skin starts to dry!

I went through an extremely bad case of angular chelitis which taught me just how important it is to take care of your skin, especially during the winter. Below are some recommendations/ products for maintaining that glow and protecting your face as the winter wonderland takes over!

  1. Vaseline: I have been using Vaseline for as long as I can remember, in fact, when I was younger my mother use to smother this on my face. It sounds gross but works miracles. My skin used to stay soft and shiny as anything, no matter how brutal the cold.
  2. Oil: Now I have yet to try this myself, but needless to say I will be trying it very soon! My eyebrow lady recommended putting two drops of oil to your face lotion and applying it in the morning and evening. she does it herself and my goodness, the glow on her face was amazing! Plus what better moisturizer than oil?
  3. Chapstick: Now I prefer to use Vaseline, just because I feel it hydrates best and doubles as a lip gloss. Another great alternative if your lips are not so pre chapped are Burt’s Bees!
  4. Lotion: If you add oil into your lotion your golden. But in general people… moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. My top picks for face lotion are the Ginzing creme and for hand lotion any Bath and Body Works lotion works dandy for me.
  5. Stay hydrated: Now there is nothing to link this with but drink water! I know all ones wants to do in winter is drink hot chocolate, but do not forget to drink regular H2O to stay hydrated form within.
